Hi, I am Fleur
MSc Entrepreneurship · highly sensitive · Author
As a highly sensitive person, I know how difficult it can be to find your place in a world that doesn’t always feel like it was designed for you. For a long time, I was searching for a way of living and working that actually worked with me instead of against me. I always felt a strong desire to contribute to make a difference for people and for the planet. I just never believed it was something meant for me. That changed when I began to look at my sensitivity through a different lens. Instead of something I needed to fix or push aside, I started to recognize it as something meaningful, a strength & a gift.
Through my academic background, my research on high sensitivity and sustainability, and my own personal journey, I’ve developed a deeper understanding of what it truly means to live and work in alignment with sensitivity.
My story
From struggling with sensitivity to owning it.
I had a dream to help others. To make the world a better place. From a small age I knew I wanted to do something meaningful. It gave me energy through all the years of insecurity, doubt, and uncertainty. I felt like my sensitivity was holding me back, something that made me more weak opposed to others. I didn’t fully understand how and why I was feeling and acting different.
At 15, I started reading. Trying to understand why I felt and experienced things so differently. And slowly, something shifted. What I thought was a flaw began to look more like a gift. Awareness replaced confusion. Curiosity replaced shame.
Ten years later I know myself better than ever and got a taste of the big scary world. Not all so scary, if you know how to protect yourself. How to love yourself. Now I knew I wanted to become an entrepreneur, as I saw a business as a vehicle for my purpose. The only thing is, I always thought I couldn’t be an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs are individuals who are perceived as extroverted and risk-takers. I was introverted, empathetic and had merely a low self-esteem and my vision in my pocket. I only took me 6 years and a MSc in Entrepreneurship to figure out how I would fit into the role of entrepreneur. That is why I want to guide others in stepping into a role they never dared to think was their to claim. Those with a vision, passion and a thurst for meaningful impact.
My mission
The world needs sensitive people to lead
My mission is to help you turn your sensitivity into a strength not just to cope, but to truly thrive and create meaningful impact in your work and the world. So you can contribute in your own way: through your art, your ideas, your leadership, or the quiet moments where you help others feel seen, understood, or inspired. Many highly sensitive people hold themselves back, not from lack of ability, but because traditional ways of working and succeeding don’t reflect who they are.
I believe we need more leaders and creators who are not only driven, but also empathetic, intuitive, and deeply aware. Shaping a more human and sustainable way of working.
This is the shift: learning to trust your sensitivity, build confidence in it, and create impact from a place of alignment not by becoming someone else, but by fully stepping into who you already are.
My Book
Dancing in Silence
Dancing in Silence
by fleur meuleman
Dancing in Silence is a story to make you feel less alone. A transcendent journey about growth. This collection of thoughts and feelings came from a place during my personal transformation going from a teenage girl to young adult. A place for growth and healing; letting go of your old self into self love. Feelings of depression, feeling lost and being in love for the first time.
